Young Rá lives on the streets of Medellin with his friends Culebro, Sere, Winny and Nano. But there is hope in sight for the gang: the government has awarded Rá the right to a piece of land from which his family, like thousands of other Colombians, was once expelled by the paramilitaries. So the pack sets off on the dangerous journey into the Colombian hinterland.
Five boys living on the streets of Medellín. Five kings without a kingdom, without a law, without a family, who set off in search of the promised land. A subversive story told by a wild and endearing clan, somewhere between reality and delusion. A journey to nowhere, where everything happens.
The co-production between Colombia, Luxembourg, France, Mexico and Norway premiered at the San Sebastián International Film Festival in September 2022, where it was awarded the main Golden Shell prize. A short time later, the film also won the Golden Eye at the Zurich Festival for Best International Feature Film.
