Laron Janus, born 1992 in Celle, works academically and artistically at the intersection of queer education, cultural mediation, cultural urban development and performing arts. Currently, his work focuses on accompanying urban development processes, with an emphasis on participation and diversity, as well as queer pedagogy and queer activism. His studies lead via the stations Theater Studies/Culture, Individual, Society (B.A.) at the Ruhr-University in Bochum and Urban Culture, Society and Space (M.A.)at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
In 2019 he founded - and since then leads - the Queer Youth Forum Herne/Wanne-Eickel and the CSD Herne. Furthermore, Laron Janus worked at Schauspielhaus Bochum, Consol Theater Gelsenkirchen, Europefiction Academy, Youth Culture Summit Herne and in the production team of Impulse Theater Festival, as well as a performer of Nature Theater of Oklahoma in "No President".
